A few breaths later, after restoring his strength, Luo Feng returned to the Mountain of Destruction from the deepest level of the Chaos Destruction Realm.
The Seventh Sculpture had already returned to its original position.
“Even though they only wield Destructive Power, facing twenty-eight of them at once…” Luo Feng shook his head slightly, “My body simply can’t withstand it!”
Outside, he could transform into Blade Light to escape.
But to defeat the Seventh Sculpture, he had to engage in direct combat!
Against such inescapable power, his defensive capabilities had to be strong enough to survive.
“My Seventh Sculpture trial consists of all the other powerhouses who have conquered the Chaos Destruction Realm,” Luo Feng suddenly realized, “Does that mean other individual’s Seventh Sculpture trial includes me?”
Luo Feng chuckled and approached the Mountain of Destruction, touching its surface to exchange for treasures.
With two Destruction Fruits now, there was no need to wait any longer.
“The Seventh Sculpture’s Destructive Power has locked onto me, leaving no escape,” Luo Feng thought, “I must enhance my defensive capabilities!”
After just one encounter, Luo Feng’s energy reserves had plummeted to half their original level, severely weakening his combat capabilities.
‘How is he supposed to fight like this?’
This clearly demonstrates that…
The master of the Abyss of Destruction must possess not only immense destructive power but also formidable defensive capabilities.
The entry requirements are exceedingly high!
“Weapon Secret Treasures.”
Luo Feng carefully examined the treasures.
A single Destruction Fruit allowed him to choose one item from among 3,000 Weapon Secret Treasures. Kafuxiu’s battle armor was one such item.
Two Destruction Fruits granted him the right to select one item from among 100 Weapon Secret Treasures.
“Something defense-oriented,” Luo Feng thought, his mind racing. He quickly chose a Robe Secret Treasure.
“Whoosh!”
A black streak of light shot out from the Mountain of Destruction and landed on Luo Feng, transforming into a black robe radiating a terrifying aura of destruction.
The robe draped over his body, enveloping him in protective energy.
“A blade and a robe – these will be my two primary Secret Treasures from now on,” Luo Feng said, quite satisfied.
He then turned his gaze toward the distant Seventh Sculpture and began walking toward it again.
As he approached, the Seventh Sculpture once again awakened.
This time, Luo Feng didn’t evade or use any weapon techniques. He braced himself for a direct confrontation.
Twenty-eight figures erupted with terrifying destructive power, locking onto Luo Feng and unleashing their full force.
“Rumble~~~”
Luo Feng clearly felt the indestructible resilience of his Destruction Robe.
After the robe’s initial defense, only about half of the destructive power penetrated through, reaching his Protective Energy Layer, the Power of Galaxy Territory, and the Power of Chaos Destruction Realm.
“Absorbing that direct hit cost me only one percent of my energy reserves?” Luo Feng was quite satisfied.
It was only through the combined assistance of two sources of Abyss of Destruction power, the Galaxy Territory Power, and this Secret Treasure Robe that Luo Feng’s physical body could rival Lord Wu Lan’s in strength.
“At least I can put up a fight now,” Luo Feng thought, attempting to strike back.
Moments later, he gave up.
The Seventh Sculpture’s relentless torrent of destructive power kept him constantly bathed in its terrifying energy.
Even using his Blade Light, which could cut through anything, he couldn’t touch the 28 figures.
He was constantly on the defensive, his blade strikes swallowed by the overwhelming destructive energy.
Techniques like “Severing Life Force” had no effect on the Sculpture.
“The gap is too vast,” Luo Feng realized.
The difficulty spike between the Sixth and Seventh Sculptures was staggering.
Moreover, as more powerhouses from the Infinite Hunyuan Space advanced, the overall strength of the challengers would increase, further raising the Seventh Sculpture’s difficulty!
Because he had to face, alone, all the powerful beings who had conquered one of the levels of Chaos Destruction Realm – every entity except himself.
“The three highest-tier Mysterious Lands will likely be extremely difficult to control,” Luo Feng thought, though his confidence remained unshaken.
To claim the Abyss of Destruction before him, one would need to defeat a formidable alliance of sculptures, including himself, Yuan, Lord Xingmang, and many other powerful figures.
….
In the years that followed, Luo Feng occasionally visited the Mountain of Destruction to spar with the Seventh Sculpture.
After all, worthy opponents were now rare for him.
The Seventh Sculpture remained the only being capable of overwhelming him.
“Hmm?”
During one such sparring session, Luo Feng suddenly sensed something.
“Brother Yuan, you succeeded?” Luo Feng’s face lit up with joy.
In the vast expanse of the void, a colossal Origin World materialized.
“Hahaha…”
Yuan gazed at the Origin World before him, as if beholding the most perfect jewel in the Infinite Hunyuan Space, or perhaps like a parent watching over their children nurtured for countless years.
He had poured immeasurable resources and countless years of effort into this Origin World.
Now that it was finally complete, Yuan felt an overwhelming sense of fulfillment.
“An Origin World?” Luo Feng, Lord Xingmang, Lord Jin, Lord Minghuang, Lord Wu Lan, Lord Moman, and Lord Naigu each projected their consciousness, manifesting their clones.
“It truly is an Origin World,” Lord Jin remarked, observing the vast, tranquil realm.
The world was newly formed, devoid of life, with its landmasses and cosmic structures still in the process of solidifying.
“The structure of this Origin World is truly profound,” Lord Xingmang marveled, gazing at the landscape, “If we imagine this Origin World as a massive tree, then the corpses of the Thousand-Eyed Hunyuan Ancestor and the Thirteenth Serpent Hunyuan Ancestor serve as its roots, nourishing the entire world.”
“It couldn’t be helped,” Yuan sighed, shaking his head, “I couldn’t condense Origin Core of this Origin World from thin air. I had to use the corpses of the Thousand-Eyed Hunyuan Ancestor and the Thirteenth Serpent Hunyuan Ancestor as substitutes. Even converting them into Origin Core was a painstaking process. After countless trials, I finally succeeded.”
Yuan didn’t want to dwell on the bitterness of his struggles; it was simply too exhausting.
“What’s its name?” Luo Feng asked curiously.
“I’ve named it the Realm Heart Continent!” Yuan replied eagerly, “The center of all Origin Worlds!”
“Everyone,” Yuan continued, turning to his companions, “I have one more request.”
The seven Lords felt a sudden tension in their hearts.
A request?
“Brother Yuan, speak your mind,” Luo Feng urged.
“Next, I will focus on nurturing the Realm Heart Continent,” Yuan said, his voice filled with anticipation, “I want to compare… whether the beings born on the Realm Heart Continent differ fundamentally from those of other Origin Worlds. To do this, I need to select exceptional Practitioners from various Origin Worlds and have them reincarnate on the Realm Heart Continent.”
“When the time comes, I might select practitioners from your territories,” Yuan said, looking at his seven companions.
“Don’t interfere.”
“A trivial matter,” Lord Wu Lan replied.
“Fine,” Lord Jin agreed, unconcerned.
“We pour our hearts into nurturing our juniors,” Luo Feng countered, “I think there should be a quota.”
His Clone resided in every Origin World within his territory, watching practitioners rise.
He would guide and cultivate those with the greatest potential.
He had no intention of letting Yuan take them all.
“A quota is necessary,” Lord Xingmang agreed.
“A quota of ten thousand practitioners per territory?” Yuan suggested.
“One thousand!” Luo Feng said.
“Luo Feng, you’re being stingy,” Yuan said, shaking his head.
Luo Feng remained silent.
After being exploited for so long, he finally understood the need to negotiate.
“One thousand quota is more than enough. Your own territory has countless Origin Worlds,” Lord Xingmang pointed out. With Luo Feng and Lord Xingmang’s stance, Lord Minghuang, Lord Wu Lan, Lord Moman, Lord Jin, and the others gradually voiced their agreement.
“Fine, fine. Only a thousand quota per territory for all eternity? We’ll have to be sparing with them,” Yuan sighed.
The seven Lords were growing increasingly disrespectful toward him.
Each Lord pursued their own ambitions: nurturing future generations, cultivating their personal Dao, or refining Mysterious Lands…
Aside from his cultivation and challenges against the Seventh Venerable Sculpture, Luo Feng primarily focused on nurturing younger practitioners within various Origin Worlds.
He also frequently accompanied his wife, Xu Xin, on leisurely strolls through newly discovered Origin Worlds.
…..
In an ordinary Origin World:
“Clang, clang, clang…”
Luo Feng was working as a blacksmith, his hammer rhythmically striking the blade blank. With each strike, the blade gradually took shape.
Though the method appeared simple and crude, the materials within the blade blank were undergoing a profound transformation. Ordinary materials were being refined into a divine weapon.
“Husband,” Xu Xin called out, sipping contentedly from a cup of fruit tea, “Can you stop blacksmithing for a moment? I’ve found some amazing new drinks. Come try them!”
After having lived for countless years and explored countless Origin Worlds, Xu Xin’s greatest joys now lay in discovering exotic delicacies and breathtaking vistas.
“Just a moment, just a moment,” Luo Feng replied, continuing to hammer the blade, “I’ll finish this soon.”
Xu Xin didn’t mind waiting.
As a being with an endless lifespan, she naturally possessed boundless patience.
She sat nearby, sipping fruit tea and watching Luo Feng hammer away at the metal with a gentle smile.
Who could have imagined that this blacksmith was the strongest being in the Infinite Hunyuan Space?
“Done,” Luo Feng said, finishing the blade.
He frowned slightly, dissatisfied, and casually stored it away before walking over to his wife.
“Try this,” Xu Xin said, placing a cup of fruit tea before him, “It’s from one of the universes within this Origin World. I think it’s quite good.”
Luo Feng sat down and took a sip of the tea.
“Hmm?”
He suddenly looked into the distance.
“What is it?” Xu Xin asked.
“Look,” Luo Feng said, projecting a distant scene before them with a thought.
A silver-robed figure, “Luo Hai,” stood with his Slay blade on his back, locked in combat with an opponent.
“Xiao Hai,” Xu Xin murmured, watching.
The reason she had stayed in this Origin World for so long was because their son, Luo Hai, was currently adventuring and training within it.
In the projected scene, Luo Hai finally drew his blade.
With a single strike, he annihilated his enemies.
Luo Hai struck up a friendship with a white-robed youth.
“Kid, you’ve got guts!” Luo Hai said, sizing up the young man, “By the way, I’m Luo Hai.”
“I’m Dongbo Xueying,” the white-robed youth replied with a smile.
“If you don’t mind, let’s call each other brothers!” Luo Hai said heartily, his innate boldness shining through.
Once he acknowledged someone, he treated them as a friend.
“Brother Luo Hai,” Dongbo Xueying replied.
As Luo Hai gathered his spoils, he continued, “Brother Dongbo…”
Luo Feng and Xu Xin watched their conversation from afar.
“Xiao Hai just made a friend. Why are you so concerned?” Xu Xin asked, puzzled.
“This Dongbo Xueying has remarkable potential within this Origin World,” Luo Feng said with a smile.
To him, these little creatures trapped in the Cage were like seedlings whose future possibilities he could already glimpse.
“Remarkable potential?” Xu Xin pressed.
“He should be able to reach the Ultimate God King Realm,” Luo Feng replied, still smiling, “Perhaps there’s even a sliver of hope he might break free from the Cage!”
(The End)
…
Author’s words:
Luo Feng’s story concludes here.
I wrote this work entirely out of my affection for the character Luo Feng, wanting to flesh out his story as much as possible, both on the Origin Continent and after he broke free from the Cage.
[ Swallowed Star 2: Land of Origin ] is a dream-fulfilling work. It aims to resolve many unresolved plot threads from [ Swallowed Star ] and [ Snow Eagle Lord (Lord Xue Ying) ], filling in the gaps to the best of my ability.
The character Luo Feng, along with the world behind him, is now sufficiently complete across the three novels: [ Swallowed Star ], [ Swallowed Star 2: Land of Origin ], and [ Snow Eagle Lord ].
He will continue to live on in that world.
Finally, thank you all for your unwavering support!
Thank you!
Good night!
